Summation of Sequences

Summation of sequences is one of the core problems in the study of sequences. Although we have already learned the summation formulas for arithmetic and geometric sequences, in practical problems we often encounter more complex sequences—they are neither arithmetic nor geometric, or they are combinations of the two.

In such cases, we need to master some general summation techniques and methods.
